Our client are a leading specialist in washroom and interior fit-out contracting, delivering high-quality projects across various sectors. They are seeking a talented Design Manager to join their dynamic team in North West London.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management: Oversee the design management of 3 live projects simultaneously, each with values ranging from £1 million to £3 million.
Client Interface: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their design requirements and expectations are met.
Subcontractor Coordination: Liaise and manage relationships with subcontractors to ensure timely and quality delivery of design elements.
Design Oversight: While you will not be required to draw, you will be responsible for managing the design process, ensuring all designs meet project specifications and standards.
Software Utilisation: Utilise design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and SolidWorks to review and ensure the accuracy and feasibility of designs.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, site managers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of design and construction phases.
Requirements
Experience: 6 - 8 years of experience in a design management role, preferably with a tier 1 subcontractor.
Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and SolidWorks.
Industry Knowledge: Extensive experience in washroom and interior fit-out projects.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective client and subcontractor interactions.
Organisational Skills: Exceptional ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills to foresee and address potential design and construction challenges.
Schedule: 5 days in the office as standard, with flexibility offered as needed.
