Role Overview
As a Senior Creative Designer, you will take a leading role within the design team, driving creative concepts and design solutions from inception to completion. This role has a significant emphasis on pitching to both new and existing clients, requiring a dynamic and persuasive approach to secure business and build long-term relationships. You will utilise your expertise in AutoCAD and Revit to deliver cutting-edge designs that align with the company’s reputation for innovation and quality.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Design Projects: Oversee the creative direction and execution of high-profile projects from concept through to delivery, ensuring design integrity and excellence at every stage.
Pitching & Client Engagement: Take a central role in developing and delivering compelling pitches to prospective and existing clients, showcasing the company’s capabilities and securing new business opportunities.
Collaborative Leadership: Work closely with the Creative Director and cross-functional teams, including project managers and engineers, to ensure cohesive and aligned project delivery.
Design Development: Utilise advanced skills in AutoCAD and Revit to develop detailed designs, drawings, and 3D models that meet client specifications and adhere to project timelines.
Innovation & Trend Analysis: Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies, integrating new ideas and innovations into the design process to maintain a competitive edge.
Client Liaison: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring their vision is realized through exceptional design solutions.
Mentorship & Team Development: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.
Qualifications & Experience
Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in a creative design role, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead position within a Design & Build environment.
Software Proficiency: Expert-level proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is essential. Experience with other design software (e.g., SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite) is highly desirable.
Design Expertise: Strong portfolio demonstrating a track record of delivering innovative and impactful design solutions across various sectors.
Pitching Skills: Proven experience in pitching to clients, with excellent presentation and communication skills.
Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and deliver on tight deadlines.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field. A Master’s degree or additional certifications in design or project management would be advantageous.
