Business Development Manager

Permanent

£80k + Commission + Package

Slough (with travel)

My client is a market leading office interior design and fit out specialist. The company is committed to producing high quality work and achieving a high level of client satisfaction whilst ensuring the project is completed within budget. They offer a team of people fully qualified and experienced in accommodation strategy and fast track construction, who can provide the client with a total project solution.

The Business Development Manager is responsible for generating, sourcing and introducing new business opportunities for the company. The Business Development Manager will also work with appointments made by the telesales team to qualify and move leads through to pre-contract, contract and to be the client contact throughout the sales cycle.


The Business Development Manager will proactively network and identifying revenues through sourcing and introducing opportunities from the following channels:

  • Commercial property agents

  • New trading companies

  • Third Party referral agencies

  • Networking Groups / Forums


The various channels where these leads will come from should be educated on how we can help their organisations and be developed to trade with the business. The role is one of new business targeting territories within the Southern business where we historically have had little penetration or new business presence.

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for allocated key accounts and the development of target accounts through the building and maintaining of client relationships.



Duties:

  • Responsible for annual target set and agreed by Head of sales

  • Attend a minimum level of self-generated new business meetings across the region to qualify clients and project potential.

  • Attend a minimum level of networking meetings with agents, project managers and sources of market information.

  • Generate minimum levels of new business leads and direct introductions through relationship development for the business.

  • To generate business leads from proven channels to market whilst maximising your own network of agent professionals and to generate direct introductions for the business.

  • To explore new territories within the Southern region based on historical trends around the amount of space let; this will include developing new agent relationships and the generation of leads to support new business sales within these locations.

  • Personal accountability for diary management

  • To explore new territories within the Southern region based on historical trends around space lettings.

  • Work closely with the telesales team to qualify leads and ensure those leads are being followed up in a timely fashion.

  • Maintain and develop agent relationships to gain qualified business leads in a timely manner

  • Identify key target accounts for the business.

  • Produce and maintain the Sales team programme of events and entertainment

  • Ensure all leads are uploaded and client details updated on the CRM system

  • Attend and be prepared for monthly performance reviews agreed with Head of Sales

  • Produce monthly reports to show progress against sales plan

  • Attend networking forums and events to generate business, whilst also working with marketing to assist with event innovation using client knowledge

  • Responsible for establishing the sales strategy for projects and ensuring client expectations are fulfilled by the pre-contract project team.

  • Fully supports the annual sales business plan.
