Construction Manager

£60,000 + £8,460 car allowance

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Construction Manager to join our client’s Aftercare Team, focusing on small works projects ranging from £100k to £2 million. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing construction projects post-completion, ensuring that all works are completed to the highest standards. This is a key role within a small, dedicated team of six, all working towards delivering outstanding results for our clients in London.



Key Responsibilities

  • Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of small works projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

  • Team Coordination: Work closely with the aftercare team, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure effective collaboration and communication throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Client Liaison: Maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing any concerns or issues promptly and professionally to ensure client satisfaction.

  • Quality Control: Ensure that all works are carried out in compliance with company standards, building regulations, and health and safety requirements.

  • Problem Solving: Proactively identify and resolve any issues that may arise during the construction process, ensuring minimal disruption to the project timeline.

  • Flexibility: Be prepared to cover weekends and nights on a week on, week off basis as required, ensuring continuous project progress and client satisfaction.



Qualifications and Experience

  • Proven experience as a Construction Manager, preferably within an aftercare or small works environment.

  • Strong understanding of construction processes, building regulations, and health and safety standards.

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a small team.

  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously within the £100k to £2 million range.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

  • A valid UK driving license is essential.
