Our client, a reputable and growing construction company is seeking a thorough, organised, proactive, and inquisitive Business Development Admin to join their team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the business development team by identifying winnable and profitable bid opportunities and managing various administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive administrative support to the business development team, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and organising travel arrangements.
Assist in identifying and researching potential bid opportunities that align with the company’s strategic goals.
Conduct market research and gather information on potential clients, competitors, and industry trends.
Assist in the preparation and submission of bids, proposals, and other business development documents.
Maintain and update the customer relationship management (CRM) system with accurate and current information. The CRM in use is Salesforce.
Coordinate and manage communication with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.
Track and report on business development activities, including lead generation, client meetings, and follow-up actions.
Support the planning and execution of business development events and conferences.
Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
Perform other administrative tasks as required to support the business development team.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as an administrative assistant, preferably in a business development or sales environment.
Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be speaking with relevant internal and external stakeholders on the phone on a daily basis
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and CRM software.
High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Prior experience in the construction industry is a plus.
