Business Development Administrator

Permanent

Up to £50,000 (DOE)

Central London

Our client, a reputable and growing construction company is seeking a thorough, organised, proactive, and inquisitive Business Development Admin to join their team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the business development team by identifying winnable and profitable bid opportunities and managing various administrative tasks.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the business development team, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and organising travel arrangements.

  • Assist in identifying and researching potential bid opportunities that align with the company’s strategic goals.

  • Conduct market research and gather information on potential clients, competitors, and industry trends.

  • Assist in the preparation and submission of bids, proposals, and other business development documents.

  • Maintain and update the customer relationship management (CRM) system with accurate and current information. The CRM in use is Salesforce.

  • Coordinate and manage communication with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.

  • Track and report on business development activities, including lead generation, client meetings, and follow-up actions.

  • Support the planning and execution of business development events and conferences.

  • Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.

  • Perform other administrative tasks as required to support the business development team.



Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an administrative assistant, preferably in a business development or sales environment.

  • Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be speaking with relevant internal and external stakeholders on the phone on a daily basis

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and CRM software.

  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Prior experience in the construction industry is a plus.
