A well-established Tier 2 Design and Build company specialising in office fit-out projects. Who pride themselves on delivering high-quality, innovative, and sustainable solutions for their clients. Operating along the M3 and M4 corridors, their projects range from small to medium-sized office spaces, ensuring that each design meets the specific needs of clients.
They are seeking a highly creative and experienced Senior Creative Designer to join our dynamic team. This role requires a blend of creative flair and strategic thinking, with the ability to develop and pitch compelling design concepts to clients. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the office fit-out sector and will play a pivotal role in shaping the design direction of our projects from conception to completion.
Key Responsibilities
Creative Concept Development:
Lead the creative process from initial concept to final design, ensuring alignment with client requirements and company standards.
Develop innovative design solutions that enhance the functionality and aesthetics of office spaces.
Create mood boards, concept sketches, 3D visualisations, and presentation materials to communicate design ideas effectively.
Client Engagement & Pitching:
Lead client meetings and presentations, articulating design concepts and strategies with confidence and clarity.
Build strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and translating them into compelling design solutions.
Tailor design pitches to resonate with the specific goals and preferences of each client.
Collaboration & Coordination:
Work closely with project managers, technical designers, and other team members to ensure the creative vision is executed effectively.
Collaborate with external partners, including architects, contractors, and suppliers, to integrate creative ideas with practical implementation.
Participate in project reviews and provide creative input during all stages of the project lifecycle.
Market & Trend Awareness:
Stay updated on the latest design trends, materials, and innovations within the office fit-out industry.
Apply industry knowledge to create cutting-edge designs that set our client apart from competitors.
Identify opportunities to incorporate sustainable and eco-friendly design elements into projects.
Quality & Compliance:
Ensure all design solutions comply with relevant building regulations and industry standards.
Maintain a high standard of design quality, attention to detail, and adherence to project timelines.
Required Qualifications and Skills
Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
Professional accreditation (e.g., RIBA, BIID) is advantageous.
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a creative design role, with a focus on office fit-out projects.
Proven experience in pitching and winning projects with a value of £500k - £2 million.
Experience working on projects along the M3/M4 corridor is a plus.
Exceptional creative and conceptual design abilities with a strong portfolio showcasing relevant projects.
Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and 3D rendering tools.
Strong understanding of space planning, materials, color theory, and ergonomics in office environments.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to inspire and persuade clients.
Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to manage and mentor junior designers.
Ability to balance creative vision with practical considerations and project constraints.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
