Our client seeks a senior site manager to work on a £70 million project, in its phase 2 of the development. It is a full refurbishment and fit out to deliver a high-end bespoke hotel. The successful candidate must have hotel experience and be commercially aware as to maximise the efficiency of the project.
Duties include:
• Health & Safety: Enforcing safety measures and conducting regular inspections for a secure work environment.
• Quality Assurance: Maintaining high-quality standards through regular checks and prompt issue resolution.
• Client Communication: Updating stakeholders, managing expectations, and serving as a point of contact between the construction team and the client.
• Problem-Solving: Addressing challenges promptly, from unforeseen issues to coordination problems.
• Documentation & Compliance: Keeping detailed records, adhering to regulations, and ensuring compliance with building codes and legal requirements.
• Working as part of a team taking responsibility for the successful delivery of the project
• Reporting into the Senior Project Manager.
• Short term programme works as necessary and issue comprehensive programmes to all necessary parties.
• To offer high level strategic thinking at a project level.
• To be aware of the existence of marketing relationships with external professionals and clients.
• To actively promote the company’s philosophy and culture.
• To produce short term lookahead plans to ensure the delivery of all projects works on a rolling timescale.
To undertake toolbox talks and manage site diaries.
