Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with a mechanical bias to join their team.
Responsibilites & Key duties:
Estimating and cost planning.
Procurement advice.
Contract administration and cost control.
Work with clients on variations to the contract.
Negotiation, preparation, and placement of sub-contract orders.
Value completed work and produce payment certification.
Cost reporting and final account preparation.
Provide advice on contractual claims.
You will be able to understand and follow current contractual processes and implement procedures as appropriate.
The successful candidate will work closely with Project Managers, attend meetings, and undertake site visits and have knowledge and understanding of the workplace health and safety regulations.
Qualifications & requirements:
Degree qualified or possess equivalent industry experience in the performance of the role.
Requisite knowledge about the construction industry.
Excellent numeracy and data analysis skills.
Effective communication skills.
Strong team work ethic.
Good organisational and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and achieve deadlines.
