Our client needs someone with experience of managing design development, working between their subcontractor design and the client team. Identifying areas where there is missing design between the two and managing the project, as a whole to ensure the design is completed.
This will be through using their information release schedule, drawing register, RFI schedules and their information management systems.
Requirements:
A strong understanding of the design management function within a main contractor.
High level of organisation you will be able to lead the design process from cradle to grave.
Technical design background and be a problem solving decision maker.
You will be an excellent communicator across all levels and be able to negotiate with both clients and supply chain teams.
With an excellent eye for detail, you will be passionate about quality and good design whilst understanding contractual obligations. You will play an active role in managing sub-contractors, sub-consultants and the client team to ensure responsibilities are met without exposing the business to unnecessary health and safety or delay risk.
Being a proactive multitasker, you will be capable of prioritising activities both for yourself and others, working to tight deadlines and doing what is necessary to ensure the success of your project. Professionalism, enthusiasm and edibility will come as second nature to you and you will actively participate in making the company a better business for all.
