Working within the construction department, as the Quantity Surveyor, the chosen candidate will be involved in the full gamut of commercial activities, ranging from the production of cost plans, through full commercial management of third-party accounts through to final account and completion on multiple properties. Working alongside the Commercial Manager and one other Quantity Surveyor the candidate will be expected to work self-sufficiently with a proactive entrepreneurial mind-set.
Requirements:
• Degree in Quantity Surveying / commercial management or similar
• Minimum 5 years of construction industry experience
• Ideally with Tier 1 / 2 Main Contractor experience
• The ideal candidate would be looking to move away from standard main contractor-type quantity surveying and is looking to be involved in the whole development lifecycle. This means that the candidate will need to employ independent critical thinking rather than expect to be spoon-fed standard inputs.
