Our client is a bespoke property developer within the Design & Build industry seeking a Site Manager with 5+ years experience. The ideal candidate will have a proven record in managing commercial office fit-out projects.
Requirements:
• 5+ years of Site management experience
• Proven track record in managing commercial office fit out projects
• SMSTS
• NVQ Level 6 in Site Management
• First Aid Training
Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning and Coordination:
• Collaborate closely with design and construction teams to understand project requirements and timelines.
• Ensure the integration of design plans with on-site construction activities.
2. Budget Management:
• Work with project management to establish and manage the project budget.
• Monitor expenses, track costs, and identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining design integrity.
3. Design Integration:
• Facilitate communication between design and construction teams to ensure a smooth transition from concept to execution.
• Address any discrepancies between design plans and on-site realities promptly.
4. Quality Assurance:
• Implement and enforce quality control measures to guarantee that the finished project aligns with design specifications.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with design intent.
5. Team Leadership:
• Lead and motivate on-site construction teams and subcontractors.
• Foster collaboration between design and construction teams to promote a unified project vision.
6. Client Interaction:
• Act as a liaison between the client and the project team, providing updates on progress and addressing any design-related queries.
• Ensure that client expectations regarding design elements are met or exceeded.
7. Health and Safety Compliance:
• Implement and enforce safety protocols to create a secure working environment.
• Regularly conduct safety meetings and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
8. Materials and Logistics:
• Oversee the procurement and delivery of construction materials, ensuring they align with both design and construction requirements.
• Coordinate logistics to optimize the flow of materials and equipment to and from the site.
9. Problem Resolution:
• Proactively identify and address any challenges that may arise during the design and build process.
• Collaborate with the project team to develop effective solutions that maintain design intent.
10. Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including design revisions, change orders, and progress reports.
• Generate regular reports for project stakeholders, highlighting design and construction integration.
